Hope Community Care Hub provides practical support, community connection and inclusive activities for people experiencing hardship, isolation or challenging circumstances. We work with local residents, volunteers, charities and partner organisations to help improve wellbeing, strengthen resilience and ensure that nobody feels alone in times of difficulty.

Bringing Hope to Over Wyre
Hope Community Care Hub was established in honour of Dr Harold Daniel Hope Elletson and his commitment to supporting the Over Wyre community.
Based in the heart of Over Wyre, we provide practical support, wellbeing initiatives and inclusive community activities for individuals and families experiencing hardship, isolation or difficult circumstances. Our aim is to ensure that nobody feels left behind.
What We Do
Our activities include:
- Emergency food and practical support
- Foodbank and community fridge services
- Support and signposting for housing, finance and wellbeing
- Weekly coffee mornings and community groups
- Men’s Mondays and wellbeing activities
- Arts, crafts and social activities
- Free school uniform support
- Outreach support for homeless individuals in Blackpool
- Skills-based activities including sewing, knitting and crochet groups
- Help with forms, benefits and access to local services
Our Approach
We believe support should be welcoming, practical and accessible. By bringing together services, activities and community connection, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where people can access help, build confidence and reduce isolation.
Our work is made possible through volunteers, donations, partnerships and ongoing community support.
